Sweet malted crust, spicy tomato sauce. Heaping topping on bottom cheese on top. Our hommage to Harris Pizza in Rock Island, IL.

  1. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Dissolve yeast in water, then add to dry ingredients.
  3. Add oil and mix until dough forms.
  4. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let dough rise, covered, for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
  7. Roll out dough thin and place on a pizza screen.
  8. Layer toppings first, then cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until crust is crispy.
  10. Cut into strips and serve.
